Mark Burds & Asa Skinder

Asa Skinder is a Monroe style mandolin player performing with up and coming bluegrass band Otter Creek and is an active member of the Burlington roots music scene.

Mark Burds is a guitar and banjo player from central vermont that performs with bluegrass duo Mountain Dog and old time musician Skip Gorman.

Both of are steeped in the formative sounds of early country and bluegrass music of Bill Monroe, Norman Blake and The Stanley Brothers. Their playing styles and repertoire are full of high lonesome harmonies coupled with raw mandolin and guitar picking reminiscent of early bluegrass brother duets.
