The festivities move to Harry’s Hardware on Saturday evening starting with John Specker at 7pm. John Specker conjures and invokes primal spirits with melodies and rhythms he says are thousands of years old. Most people think he’s just a fine old-time fiddle player."
New Lost Nation has their debut gig playing from 8-9pm. New Lost Nation is an old-time string band that has emerged out of the vibrant traditional music scene of Central Vermont. The line-up features Dana Robinson on fiddle, Grant Marolf on banjo, Susan Robinson on guitar, and Neal McNaughton on bass. New Lost Nation's sound is distinctly Southern-Appalachian, and inspired by the Round Peak style in North Carolina, as well as the deep well of old-time fiddle tunes and traditional songs from throughout North America.
